Going
Places is proud to have helped a wide and varied range of wonderful
choirs and other groups realize their dream of traveling to various
destinations to perform to new audiences whilst experiencing the
best balance between performance and recreational time whilst on
tour. Perhaps the most gratifying aspect to setting up a successful
tour apart from the success of the performances themselves is the
wonderful, heart-felt feedback that we receive from our clients,
some of which we are delighted to share on this page.

"We have used Going Places
since 1997 as our tour operator of choice.
England, Wales, Scotland and France....no one knows these destinations
better than Christine Pelham and her staff. She is keen to
respond to the needs of adult touring choirs and her knowledge of
venues and hotels is impeccable. Going Places
produces itineraries that give a wonderful
balance between 'group time' and 'individual leisure' time
which is crucial to ensuring a successful tour. We have toured with
her three times and are looking forward to our FOURTH
tour to the Czech Republic in 2003. Price,
value, musical enrichment- Going Places and Christine
Pelham are The BEST".

"Our handbell choir has toured under the
guidance of Christine Pelham's Going Places since 1988. Her
trips have always been full of "GREATS"; the great
cathedrals of England and Wales, the great mountains of western
Canada, The great barrier reef in Australia, the great desert of the
Southwest USA, the great wall of China, and the great castles of
Scotland. Concert venues have been perfect for our 6 octave
handbell choir, and the publicity work has generated capacity
audiences. Christine has even occasionally graced our
performances as narrator. She brings a high level of
intelligence, graciousness, and flair to our travels".

"Christine Pelham arranged our tour superbly.
Ours was an intergenerational group of choristers singing in
residence at Canterbury Cathedral. Christine managed all of the tour
details with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Christine chose tour venues that were of interest to both children
and adults. Venues were educational, recreational and fun!
Our choristers raved about Christine's ability to meet the unique
challenges of our tour. Our accommodations at Canterbury Cathedral
brought especially our boy and girl choristers closer together as a
choir and as friends".

Emanuel
Ringers
"It was in 1980 that the
Emanuel Ringers had their first experience of travel plans with
Christine Pelham's vast knowledge and expertise in arranging
exciting excursions for our handbell choirs. Not only for
attending the National Festivals of the American Guild of English
Handbell Ringers in various areas of the United States, but in
arranging exciting adventures for all of our tours to the
International Symposia held in England/Wales/Scotland, China, Japan,
Korea, Alberta and Ontario Canada, New Zealand/Australia and
southwestern areas in the United States. Our concert tours and
venues were always educational and carefully planned by Christine
resulting in capacity audiences. Christine's sensitivity to
the needs of teenagers as well as adults is evident in her
thoughtfulness, generosity and careful planning in all of our
travels these past 21 years. It is a great privilege to have
such a trustworthy friend in Christine Pelham tending to our many
travel plans".

Tour from Cowbridge, Wales to Boston
& Providence, Fall 2000
"We were delighted with the very 'personal' service received
from Christine throughout our tour to Boston. She had looked into
every detail and was always coming back to us with ideas to see what
our group wanted to do when 'on tour'. There was a very healthy
balance between 'work and play' and our tour was extremely enjoyable
and musically successful. Our tour guide was quickly accepted and
liked by all of the group and she had endless patience and energy.
Nothing was 'too much trouble'. The success of the tour was
completely down to the wonderful organisational skills of Christine
from 'Going Places' and we would not hesitate to use the company
again and again".

Voices From The
Heart Ireland Tour
June 28 - July 8, 2001
Voices From The
Heart on-line Ireland Tour photo album
"We wanted our trip to reflect the
kind of group that we are and the multicultural music that we sing.
Despite the size of our chorus, 200 women, of which 135 would go,
Christine Pelham customized our trip. We wanted to make connections
with people in Ireland. Christine organized benefit concerts with
battered women’s shelters. She organized two joint concerts. We
wanted to see as much of Ireland as possible, and sing too. We
brought instruments and enthusiasm. We sang 6 venues and helped
raise 20,000 pounds. Our trip to Ireland was exactly what we wanted.
Christine Pelham molded our trip, and worked hard to provide us with
an audience at each venue. Christine delivers on her product.
We look forward to our next adventure".
